another plea for imagination infusion in hollywood
Posted byCurrent Mood:
Karate kid remake
Sex in the city 2
Nightmare on elm street remake
Alvin and chipmunks sequel
Footloose remake
Another Shrek
Cats & Dogs 2(wow, took them a while to find just the right script i guess)
another Underworld
Hairspray 2
Russel Crowe as Robin Hood in that story's 5 millionth telling
i might be interested in one or two coming out (none of the ones listed here), but for the most part i wish there was a way to get Hollywood to take a break from remakes and sequels for a little while, refresh the pool of entertainment. and quit dipping into 80's TV for ideas (A-Team Movie) and toys from days of yore (Strech Armstrong movie) or mixture of the two (Smurfs movie)!
i know, not a new rant for me, but if they don't have to come up with new material, why do i?
oh, and a break from shows about the life of rich people i don't care the least about (many of whom we wouldn't know at all if not for the show), a hiatus from that as well would be nice.
on a nice note, i am excited that Rapunzel is finally on Disney's schedule. i actually submitted that at an idea pow-wow back when i worked for them and they asked for ideas.
